*Daily commitments:

  1. Internet access and phone message check no more than 1 hour each day.
  2. Yoga every day (intermittently)
  3. Fresh salad, vegetarian protein and vegan protein shake every day
  4. 32 oz of water every day
  5. Green or Oolong tea to sip (while writing) with veggie snacks on the side (carrots/celery/cherry tomatoes)
  6. 1-2 glasses of wine in the evening
  7. Follow below schedule.

*Goal for the retreat is to finish my 80,000 word novel which is now (after some edits/cuts) at 43,810 words. My day will NOT focus on word count, but on the completion of an entire story. Regardless, I will post my word count every day with each blog note.

01 February 2021 (Monday):

  1. 10:00-11:00: Drive to grocery store and pick up food supplies
  2. 11:00-12:00: Drive to Retreat location
  3. Check in at noon: Porches Writer Retreat
  4. 12:00-13:00: Get writing room in order and eat lunch
  5. 13:00-18:00  Write (stand/stretch for 5 minutes of every hour)

02 February—05 February 2021 (Tuesday-Friday):

  • 19:00-23:00  Write (stand/stretch for 5 minutes of every hour)
